“Keep Growing” is the theme of the 50th ANNIVERSARY OF HONOLULU COMMUNITY GARDENS at Foster Botanical Gardens, sponsored by the City & County. There will be abundant educational demonstrations, garden tours, food, entertainment, and lots and lots of plants to see and purchase. Worm Ohana will be there to promote vermicomposting, sell vermicast, plant starts, vermicast-based potting mixes, and the WORMderful residential-scale lateral-flow worm system called the Wiggle Room, Jr. – always in demand. BANANA FESTIVAL

Expand your notion of what a banana is and can be at the BANANA FESTIVAL, a celebration of all things banana, held at Windward Community College. Food, art, handicrafts – so fun and informative – don’t miss it! Since banana peels are a favorite food of our wormies, Worm Ohana will be on hand to collect all banana waste generated at the event.
