Harvest Party, 7/18/26

WORM OHANA HARVEST PARTY!
Saturday, July 18, 2026
9-11am
CARES Waiawa (Urban Garden Center), Pearl City
FREE!

The Worm Ohana is thrilled to announce a second annual HARVEST PARTY to be held first time ever at Urban Garden Center (CARES Waiawa) in Pearl City on Saturday, July 18th.  A Harvest Party is a fun and festive gathering designed to lighten the load of separating worms from cast with the help of many hands.

If your box bin is ready for harvesting  – six months to a year of operation – load up your vehicle and haul it over to the Urban Garden Center on the morning of Saturday, July 18th.  Bring an empty 5-gallon bucket or two for your bounty of fresh vermicast, and we’ll provide the rest.

HARVESTERS
Stop feeding your worms on July 5th – two weeks out – so that they an eat down whatever food is still in their bed.  Continue to water.

In addition to volunteer help, we will have a tent and table reserved for you, provide fresh shredded cardboard for re-bedding, weigh your worms, and snap the traditional Big Ball ‘O Worms photo.  You leave happy and we clean up!

VOLUNTEERS
All Worm Ohana members and followers, friends, families, neighbors, and students of all ages are encouraged to help harvest –  our volunteer crew. If you are a New Wormer, Wormer Wannabee or just Worm Curious, there is no better introduction to vermicomposting and the varied and delightful community of wormers. Walk-ins welcome.

To participate as either a HARVESTER or VOLUNTEER, please follow the link below to reserve your spot.

See you on July 18th!
